CNC Set-Up Machinist Duties and Responsibilities

•        Readandinterpretblueprints, planningsheets, joborders, andrelatedtechnical data for product specifications

•        Set-Up & Operate CNC Mills as necessary to produce the required number of conformingpartsinatimelymanneraccordingtoprocessdocumentation.This will include operating multiple pieces of CNC equipmentsimultanously

•        The ability to correctly setup jobs in assigned equipment in a timely manner isa must

•        Utilizegagesforin-process inspections, suchascalipers, micrometers, indicators & bore gages on first and lastpieces

•        Maintain record keeping within the quality control forms and process controlforms

•        Maintain routine maintenance of machines and relatedtooling

Job Requirements

•        Firm understanding of machining center theory including X-Y-Z-A&BAxis

•        Minimum of 10 years in CNC machining experience and 5 years in CNCset-up

•        Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with G & M codes, tooloffsets, speed and feedediting

•        5-Axis machining capabilites aplus

•        Must be able to interpret blueprints in metric orinch

•        Must have a working understanding of GD&Tprinciples

•        Detail oriented with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy within a timely matter

•        Analytical & problem solving skills utilizing strong Mathdisciplines

•        Must have own tools including tool box, micrometers, indicators andcalipers

Additional Experience

•        Firm understanding of cutting tools andtooling

•        Knowledge of Okuma OSP, Mazak and FanucControls

•        Experience cutting stainless steel, aluminum, castings andforgings

•        Basic understanding of computer programs including Microsoft Word &Excel

•        Knowledge of Master CamX6

•        Understanding of MIOSHA safetyregulations

•        Working knowledge of forklifts andcranes
