The Body Control Module Resident Engineer is part of the R&D organization and a liaison between supplier and OEM’s engineering departments.

The position resides directly at the customer’s engineering center and collaborates closely with our internal product development team. It supports ECU development activities and application into new programs, facilitates change implementation, and conducts root cause analysis and issue resolution during the different phases of a program’s launch process.


  • Interface to the customer, facilitate internal distribution of information and requirements concerning technical changes
  • Reside at customer’s engineering center to provide technical support throughout the development, testing, preproduction and launch of the project
  • Participate in technical reviews
  • Have an intimate knowledge of hardware and software interfaces. Be able to hold detailed technical discussions with the customer
  • Conduct problem resolution activities to address system issues, identify root cause and verify solution of test or field incidents
  • Execute bench and vehicle testing aimed at replicating reported wrong behaviors
  • Collect information over CAN/LIN networks to help the development team understand problems at bench and vehicle levels
  • Setup bench and vehicle testing aimed at demonstrating fixes
  • Flash test properties with software updates for vehicular validation
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through technical support and involvement in production and quality issues
  • Processing and coordination of customer complaints, corrective actions and follow up meetings
  • Generate periodic project status reports with main activities, problems and risks
  • Represent MM and the interests of the customer
  • Help develop and maintain business relationship with the customer


  • Education:
    • B.S. Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Software or Computer Science)
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry, preferably in a similar position
    • Experience with two-wheelers is a plus
  • Skills:
    • Well organized and reliable team player able to work from the requirements to the product design
    • Self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills
    • Problem solving
    • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data
    • Expert on diagnostic tools and protocols (UDS)
    • Expert on CAN protocol, CAN bus and CAN analysis tools
    • Experienced using electrical tools such as meters and scopes
    • Read and understand hardware and system schematics
