POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

To maintain, control and ensure the efficient operation of the PLC Debug And Integration process and department relative to company policies and procedures as they relate to customer relations, the delivery of orders, Team Member relations including training, quality control and departmental maintenance while protecting the company' s assets as established by the company’ s senior leadership.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • To review the sales estimates to ensure that the PLC Debug and Integration processes and other related manufacturing  activities are consistent to the manufacturing  plan
  • To attend and participate in line-up meetings, supporting the effective launch of jobs based on accepted purchase orders and manufacturing plans
  • To ensure consistency of the quality of work to the company' s policies and procedures;
  • To serve as the liaison and company contact on matters relating PLC Debug and Integration deliverables;
  • To schedule and process jobs for the department;
  • To control and analyze job hours for maximum manufacturing efficiency, ensuring the completion of jobs on time and in accordance with delivery schedules agreed upon to both company' s and the customer ‘ s specifications
  • To establish the work force requirement needed to complete quality jobs on time and on budget;
  • To interface with the Project Management team to confirm adherence to schedules and technical requirements
  • To interface with Purchasing and Manufacturing related to required components for each project;

Team Member Relations
  • To develop and to maintain open communications with assigned Team Members, being responsive to their requirements
  • To provide an environment of praise, trust and responsibility where Team Members are positively motivated to do a good job and are able to build for the future;
  • To promote a high level of Team Member satisfaction by creating as little tension among Team Members as possible, as being fair and open-minded with all Team Members and by strengthening Team Member respect for you;
  • To ensure that the Team Members have the knowledge, skills, tools and abilities to function efficiently and effectively at their job function, achieving a high level of productivity;
  • To work in conjunction with the Installation and Launch Manager on project launch, install, support and repair manpower planning and requirements;
  • To plan, in conjunction with the Director of Manufacturing and Process Planning, the activities of the Team for the current period, the near future and the long range periods;
  • To set priority goals and to achieve the same through planning;
  • To plan the department' s work-force utilization relative to workloads, overtime, holidays, vacations and emergencies;
  • To provide the necessary resources to the service department for all robotic related support;
  • To participate in special assignments, such as sales presentations and technical sales support;
  • To support customer visitation, training, order follow-up and in plant equipment review as requested

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • A completed degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience as a licensed Industrial Electrician;
  • A minimum of six {6) years PLC and/. or robotic programming work experience, including at least three (3) years in a Leadership position;
  • Robot controls circuits and application drawings
  • Machine controls design and logic drawings
  • PLC Logic
  • Robotic application software
  • A complete understanding of manufacturing systems and operations including mechanical, electrical and-controls processes
