Constructs, assembles, or rebuilds machines, such as automated or manual systems used in manufacturing.  Demonstrates above average professionalism in the performance of all aspects of the job.   Maintains a positive work ethic and attitude as a team working with leadership to improve daily.  Follows all instructions pertaining to proper operation and safety.  Strives for continuous improvement.  Willingness to learn.


  • At least 5 years of electrical experience is required .
  • Verify conformance of component parts to stock list, and blueprints and math data, using measuring instruments.
  • Fit and assemble components and subassemblies, install all parts of machine and integrate production tools.
  • Assemble systems including aligning components, air and hydraulic plumbing, electrical wiring, safety systems and controls.  Fastens and installs piping and/or wiring and electrical components to specifications. Strong electrical experience is required.
  • Make necessary adjustments in order to complete entire machine build on time.  Reworks, repairs, and replaces parts or assemblies as needed.
  • Inspect and test parts and accessories for leakage, defect, or functionality using test equipment if necessary.
  • Set and verify clearance and alignment of parts.
  • Tests and operates machine to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to specifications.
  • Uses and operates metalworking machines, such  as drilling. milling and grinding machines, to shape or fabricate parts.
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic/Pneumatic systems
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge and use of PLC's is helpful in this position but not required
  • Basic trouble shooting skills for mechanical equipment
  • Basic knowledge of stamping dies, punching and forming is helpful in this position but not required
  • Must have good communication skills and good problem solving skills
  • Have own tools for building and repairing equipment
  • Knowledgeable in the use of calipers, micrometers, scales/tape measure and gages.
  • Maintain clean and orderly work area
  • Be familiar with all safety features and requirements for the safe operation of equipment/machinery.
  • Understands and enforces all safety rules and environmental procedures in the plant
  • Other duties may be assigned



To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  •  5 years of  machine builder experience; or 5 plus years related experience and/or training. 
  • Should have knowledge of electrical power systems and devices, particularly low voltage equipment and devices.
  • Strong electrical experience is required.
  • Have own tools for building and repairing equipment
  1. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures. Ability to write reports and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, die makers, engineers, and production press operators.
  2. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Must know general dimensional and tolerances as it applies to automotive design specifications...
  3. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Certificate or registration in use of electric power systems and devices is a plus.
