Job Responsibilities:

Deliverables
  • Responsible to ensure robust design in line with economical targets and customer requirements
  • Ensure standardization rules are applied or create justification to request of standardizations
  • Support or lead the request for all necessary design reviews
  • Ensure that design reviews of other networks are happening in a timely manner
  • Represent the R & D function at the customer
  • Interface with the customer for the R & D subjects of the project; break down and cascade role customer requests and needs

Detailed scheduling and budgeting
  • Contribute to the identification of the needs in terms of resources, equipment, and investments
  • Detailed breakdown of the activities to meet the customer and establish internal milestones
  • Follow activities and spending to meet budget allowed scope of

Collaborate with R & D contributors (mechanic, optic, electronic, simulation, laboratory)
  • Support management of all R & D contributors
  • Regular review with the Department Managers of contributing R & D functions to check alignment of resource needs and necessary technical reviews
  • Is able to handle cross functional discussion at customer level (discussions that can include R & D, product, lmarket, commercial points). This means answering directly or bringing in necessary network function support.
  • Works in close link with the Company Sales team, the R & D development centers worldwide (Bobigny, Belgium, China, Ichikoh Isehara) and with all concerned plants worldwide)

Applications and Engineering Sales
  • Ensures physical presence in customers' R & D facilities and create intimacy
  • Collects, understands and discusses customers' needs, wishes and constraints
  • Year plays active role in promoting our technologies, products, and Company position at customers
  • Engaged in hunting and prospecting for new order intake opportunity, and hire the sales network have thesis opportunities are identified
  • Analyses requirements & specifications to extract performance & functional criteria to support RFQ' s
  • Is a problem solver for customers' issues

 

Minimum Experience required:

·        At least 3 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer, however Mechanical Engineer in Automotive field.

 

Education, Knowledge, Skills Required:

·        Bachelor' s Degree in Engineering required; Mechanical, Electronic, Industrial gold field of study preferred

·        Direct experience in R & D, project / program management, however dirty with a Tier I interior lighting beg is preferred.

·        Requires strong communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills

·        Requires high degree of problem-solving and teamwork skills

·        Travel required
