  • To develop Engineered Solutions for Aerospace and Aircraft Manufacturing Controls Department
  • To technically support the proposal and estimating of those solutions
  • To follow-up the awarded projects to guarantee performance

  • Develop User Requirement Specifications
  • Develop software and hardware design specifications
  • Design, write, test, implement and document PLC and HMI software
  • Develop control system validation/testing protocols
  • Design, oversee and test the production of different types of complex systems and equipment so they function within specified tolerances
  • Support on-site engineers, technologists or other related professionals
  • Support manufacturing during build, Debug and Installation phases and resolve any non-conformances in a timely manner
  • Utilize AutoCAD electrical to design systems per customer specifications to meet the intended requirements
  • To support and provide feedback on customer RFQ’s
  • To support the proposal and estimating team
  • Work with R&D to deploy/test new product development
  • Assume other accountabilities and duties as assigned by the Leadership

  • Strong PLC’s programming (Siemens, Schneider and Rockwell Automation)
  • Knowledge of database development (Postgres, MySQL and SQL)
  • Some knowledge of SCADA systems
  • Strong controls experience and work on original design projects
  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of Electrical design and manufacturing
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of automated production systems
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment including following on tools during the fabrication, build installation and commissioning phases of the project
  • Ability and willingness to travel to any of the customer and company’s work locations in North America, Europe, and Asia, as required by management
  • Must be willing to work extended hours, when necessary, including overtime, weekends and holidays and on night shift, as project and customer demands dictate
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with others, including peers and personnel in other departments
  • Identifies and documents all project related changes and communicating information back to the project Managers
  • Eligibility for clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods and the American ITAR requirements.
  • Willing to work in Windsor, ON or Auburn Hills, MI as required

Education and Requirements:
  • At minimum a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or equivalent
  • PE license a plus
  • Siemen’s Step 7, Win CC and TIA Portal experience 2 - 5 years
  • Experience with database development
